Why I Created the Broadway Studio Series: A Vocal Experience Like No Other
When I envisioned the Broadway Studio Series, I knew I wanted to create something that didn’t already exist — not just another masterclass or drop-in session, but a true studio experience that gives singers access to some of the most sought-after voice teachers in musical theatre today.
As a singer, educator, and manual voice specialist, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be to work with a teacher who speaks your language — not just in technique, but in resonance, style, presence, and trust. But here’s the thing:
Access isn’t always easy.
Many of the brilliant teachers I’m collaborating with for this series have full studios, long waitlists, or work exclusively with advanced professionals. The chance to work with even one of them is rare. But to experience several of them in one space — that’s something I wanted to make possible.
This series was born out of a simple but powerful idea:
To give singers a space where they can explore voice, connection, and coaching styles in a supportive, professional, and artistically rich environment.
But it doesn’t stop there.
What truly sets this series apart is the integration of bodywork and biomechanics.
As part of the Broadway Studio Series, I’ll also be working with participants to explore how the body informs the voice — using techniques from self- massage, my Vocal Resilience Program, and full-body coordination to enhance vocal freedom, alignment, and resilience.
This is what makes the experience doubly rare.
You’re not just learning from world-class voice teachers — you’re also learning to inhabit your instrument more fully.
The Broadway Studio Series lets you:
-
Work directly with some of Broadway’s top vocal technicians and artist coaches
-
Receive live feedback on your voice, performance, and physical presence
-
Observe others and learn from a range of coaching languages and philosophies
-
Discover which teaching styles and vocal frameworks feel most aligned with your artistry
-
Explore how your body and voice interact, and learn tools that support your unique structure
There are many ways to resonate — in voice and in relationship.
There is no one right way to sing. No one right way to teach. That’s the beauty of this series: it honors a range of thought, technique, and artistry that exists in the professional voice world. Whether you're preparing for auditions, refining your vocal identity, or looking to expand your toolbox, this space is designed to meet you where you are — and challenge you to grow.
Each session is an opportunity to try something on. To hear new language. To learn from some of the best. And maybe even find the teacher or vocal approach you didn’t know you were looking for.
Application Details:
We are accepting 8 featured artists who will have the opportunity to sing for 6 of the 7 instructors.
Please list your instructor preferences on the submission form — we’ll do our very best to accommodate them.
Additionally, we will select 2 alternates, who will sing for 3–4 teachers/sessions.
If you’re unable to attend every session but are still interested in participating, you’re welcome to select that you're open to an alternate slot on your form.
