Vocal Resilience Academy
You understand the voice. Now learn the body behind it.
A progressive, whole-body training program for voice teachers, speech therapists, Myofunctional therapists, movement professionals, and bodyworkers who want to understand how anatomy, biomechanics, breath, pressure, and movement come together to influence the voice.
You don’t need to come in knowing biomechanics.
We’ll build the foundation first—then take you step by step into the more advanced work.

UNDERSTAND THE BODY BEHIND THE VOICE
If you've ever wanted to better understand how the whole body influences breathing, movement, the airway, and voice, The Vocal Resilience Academy was created to help you build that understanding step by step.
You don't need a background in biomechanics to begin.
The Academy is a six-module progressive training program that starts with experiencing anatomy and movement in your own body before moving into more advanced biomechanics and professional application.
Each module is 12 weeks. You register for one module at a time, allowing you to build your knowledge and experience as you progress through the Academy.
Why the progression?
Because many singers and voice teachers receive extensive training in the voice, but very little formal education in anatomy, movement, or hands-on body awareness. Before asking you to analyze complex biomechanics or bring this work into the studio, I want you to have an opportunity to experience and understand it yourself.
You don't have to know this work before you arrive. That's why you're here.
Â
 WHERE DO I START?
If you are a singer, voice teacher, SLP, Myofunctional therapist, or voice professional without formal training in movement, personal training, athletic training, rehabilitation, biomechanics, or bodywork, start with Module 1.
The first three modules give you the anatomy, personal experience, and movement foundation you'll need before progressing into the more complex biomechanics of the Academy.
Already have substantial professional training in anatomy, movement, or bodywork?
You may be eligible to begin in our advanced modules.

Building the Foundations -Â Feel It
Â
Module 1: Self-Massage and Nervous System Regulation
Learn to release tension, improve proprioception, and regulate your nervous system through targeted self-massage techniques.
Module 2: Understanding Anatomy
Explore the bones, muscles, and connective tissues. Build your anatomical knowledge through guided practice.
Module 3:Â Positional Movement Drills
Train the body for efficient, full-range movement, developing strength, stability, and breath control that translates directly to vocal performance.
Advanced Application - Apply It
Â
Module 4: Joint Actions and Biomechanics
Learn how to assess movement with clarity and precision. In this module, we break down joint actions, biomechanics, and common patterns so you can understand how the body organizes itself. You will learn how to identify what is driving imbalance, restriction, or overuse and how those patterns influence breath, pressure, and vocal function.
Module 5: Movement Integration, Intelligent Sequencing and Advanced Drills
Launching Winter 2027! This module teaches you exactly what each drill is doing, why you would assign it, and how different regions of the body influence one another. You will learn how to sequence and apply drills to create a coordinated, responsive body that supports real world vocal performance.
Module 6: Case Studies and Professional Application
Launching Winter 2027! Apply your skills to real-world challenges, working through case studies and developing the confidence to teach, coach, and perform at a professional level.

Why I created Vocal Resilience Academy
The Vocal Resilience Academy grew from something I kept noticing in the voice world.
More and more movement and breathing drills were making their way into voice studios. I would see an exercise shared on social media and then see it being used with singers, sometimes without a clear understanding of what the drill was doing, why it was being used, or whether it was appropriate for that particular person.
I didn't want to create another place to collect exercises.
I wanted to create the education behind them.
But to understand the why, we first need a foundation.
Many voice teachers and singers have never had the opportunity to study detailed anatomy, explore hands-on body awareness, or learn movement in a structured way. That's why the Academy begins there.
The first three modules give you the opportunity to experience the work, learn the anatomy, and explore movement in your own body.
Once that foundation is established, the Advanced Application modules take you deeper into biomechanics. That's where we begin asking:
Why would I choose this drill? What am I trying to influence? Who might benefit from it? When might I modify it? And when might I choose something else entirely?
There was another important reason I created the Academy:
What we know about the body and voice continues to change.
Many of us learned concepts in school or professional training that reflected the best information available at the time. But research evolves. Our understanding of biomechanics, fascia, the nervous system, breathing, movement, and voice evolves with it.
I believe our education should continue to evolve too.
That's why the Academy is not a static curriculum. I continually revisit and update the material, and I invite guest presenters from different professions to bring current ideas, research, and perspectives into the conversation.
And perhaps one of my favorite parts of the Academy is the community that has grown around it.
Voice teachers, SLPs, myofunctional therapists, bodywork professionals, movement professionals, and biomechanics specialists all bring different knowledge to the room.
No one profession has all the answers.
The Academy gives us a place to learn together, ask questions, share what we know, challenge what we thought we knew, and become more thoughtful about how we bring this work to the people we serve.
The goal isn't to give you more exercises (though there are hundreds in this program).
It's to give you the foundation first, then the education to better understand why, for whom, and when.
